The hunting scene is drastically changing in the Central Texas Hill Country! However, we continue to offer white tail deer hunting as it used to be! Our ranch is low fenced with non-guided hunts where each hunter may plan his or her own hunt. Here is how it works at Pecan Creek Ranch...
ARRIVAL AND ACCOMMODATIONS
You may arrive early afternoon at our comfortable 3 bedroom hunting lodge nestled under towering oaks on the banks of Pecan Creek where you will be greeted by your hosts, Kip Reagor and Gene Hall. Just bring your guns and food. We will provide the rest!
Our lodge gives you the Texan style of western living with all the modern day amenities. You will enjoy the spacious, fully furnished kitchen. The lodge is decorated with an emphasis on white tail deer, hunting and fishing. Terra cotta tile floors are complimented with soothing sage greens and earth tones throughout. BECOME ACQUAINTED WITH PECAN CREEK RANCH
Your host, Kip Reagor, will meet with you to discuss rules, regulations and describe our operation, goals, etc. At that time you will receive maps of the ranch designating pastures, roads, 12 blinds, 12 feeders and ponds. He will then drive the pasture roads and familiarize you with the ranch. Then you may choose where YOU want to enjoy your evening hunt!
THE HUNT
Shortly after dark, Kip will meet you back at the lodge as you return. He will also be available after your morning hunt. All deer harvested will be weighed, antlers measured, and jaw bones extracted if not to be mounted. Otherwise, you or your taxidermist may return them to us for our record keeping.
Rarely is there an evening when everyone doesn't gather around the fire pit to visit and reminisce and of course swap hunting stories! The camaraderie is the best part of the hunt! This is why we do not mix groups. A group of six to eight hunting buddies is ideal for the size of our ranch and lodge.
Kip will be here on the property for the 5-day duration of your hunt to assist you in any way possible. The silver lining of our operation is the friendships we have made and the special memories that have been created among our guests!

Several large stock ponds dot the ranch and provide fishing for bass and catfish.
